Cork County Council Accused Of Delaying MacKinnon Report

Cork County Council has been accused of disrupting and delaying the implementation of the MacKinnon report.

The Council rejected the report citing a loss of revenue as a major concern and have instead offered a number of alternative areas  to be included in the city remit

 

Cork city's boundary has not been extended in over 60 years and if delayed further it could be 2024 before the boundary is eventually extended.

 

Green Party spokesperson on political reform Oliver Moran told RedFM News that the County Council is only delaying the inevitable:
