Cork County Council Has Voted To Increase Rate Of Local Property Tax

Cork County Council has voted to increase the basic rate of Local Property Tax.
The 5% increase will apply for 1 year after which time the Council can vote to increase or reduced the tax by 15%.
The vote, which passed by 27 votes to 24 comes as Dublin City Councillors vote to reduce local property tax by 15%, against the advice of city managers who say the cut will mean €12 million less for public services.
