Cork County Council Have Erected Flood Barriers In Fermoy And Mallow

Barriers at North and South Fermoy and the barrier off Park Road Mallow have been erected as a precautionary measure.

There are no reports of flooding and the Council say they are continuing to monitor the situation and will alter the height of flood barriers depending on rainfall levels.

It comes as Met Éireann have issued a status Yellow wind and rain warning for Cork, valid until later this afternoon.
