Cork County Council Releases List Of Assets To Be Given To City Council As Part Of Boundary Extension

The move will see the city's population swell to 210,000 people overnight
Nearly 500km of roads, 89 bridges, 990 council houses, seven public parks and one fire station are among the assets and properties that will transfer from the county to the city jurisdiction
Over 85,000 people in areas such as Ballincollig, Douglas and Glanmire will also come under the remit of City Hall when the boundary is extended
Speaking to RedFM News Tánaiste Simon Coveney says the boundary extension and projected population growth will allow Cork to provide a solid alternative to Dublin:
