Cork County Council say they're continuing to monitor the situation in Rosscarbery as weather conditions deteriorate
Cork County Council say they're continuing to monitor the situation in Rosscarbery and other areas in West Cork affected by flash flooding in the past week.
It's estimated millions of euro worth of damage was caused when flash floods destroyed sections of the N71 in the Rosscarbery area as well as flooding other areas of Clonakilty, Dunmanway, and Bantry.
It comes amid another yellow rainfall warning which is in place today, meanwhile Met Éireann says unseasonably wet and windy weather is expected at times this week with more rainfall warnings likely, along with possible wind warnings.
The advisory is valid until 6pm on Saturday.
Concern is mounting in West Cork that the conditions could further exacerbate the situation however speaking to RedFM News Acting Director of Services & Roads at Cork County Council Jim Molloy says crews are on the ground trying to alleviate some the damage:
