Cork county councillor opens up about depression
A Cork county councillor has revealed how he hit rock bottom when he lost his job in 2008. Ger Keohane says asking for help as soon as possible was the biggest lesson he learned when he lost his job in 2008 and struggled to maintain control of personal and financial affairs. The father of four who has now become the East Cork area president for St Vincent de Paul says the charity helped him regain control of his life and he's urging people who are feeling financially swamped ahead of the Christmas period to seek help. AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News Ger says the situation severely affected his mental health.
