Cork County Hall Has Same Cladding Used On Grenfell Tower

It's emerged that the same cladding used in the ill-fated Grenfell Tower in London where 79 people lost there lives was installed at County Hall.

The Irish Examiner reports the cladding was installed in one part of the building on the Carrigrohane Road during refurbishment in 2006.

The Council have moved to allay fears and say there is a host of fire safety measures in place and they have commissioned a report on the proper installation of the material in question and have pledged to act on any recommendations that may emerge from the report.

Meanwhile residents of Grenfell Tower are insisting every individual and organisation who has responsibility for the disaster must be identified.

They've published a letter they've sent to the British Prime Minister.

It says the investigation must leave no stone unturned.
