Cork Cystic Fibrosis Sufferer Hopes For More Investment In Treatment in Ireland

A Cork mum whose son is a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer says she's hopeful that more money will be invested into CF treatments in Ireland.
Her comments come as agreement was reached this week on the CF drug Orkambi between the HSE and manufacturers Vertex The drug will be available from next months once the agreement is signed off by lawyers on both sides
Kara O'Callaghan has been campaigning for some time on Orkambi on behalf of her 5 year old son Leon who is a CF sufferer..
Today is 65 Roses Day and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland will be fundraising across the country as part of the association's national awareness week
Speaking to RedFM News Kara says she's delighted with the orkambi deal and is grateful that the campaign also helped to highlight the condition to the public
