Cork doctor calls for clarification amid fears of Mercy A&E closure

A Cork doctor has called on the Minister for Health to clarify the contents of a leaked report which suggests the closure of the A&E department at Cork University Hospital.
The Trauma Steering Group’s report was leaked in yesterday's Sunday Business Post and concerns have now been expressed that additional pressure will be place on the A&E in Cork University Hospital.
The Irish Times reports that the Minister for Health Simon Harris has not seen any recommendations from the Trauma Steering Group.
