Cork Events Centre Could Face Further Delays Following Appeal Last Night

The long-stalled Cork Events Centre could face further delays following a last-minute appeal last night.

The Irish Examiner reports that it's understood a person who previously objected to the venue's revised designs is behind the appeal to An Bord Pleanala.

The appeal, which can be withdrawn at any time, could stall construction by up to 18 weeks.

It comes as BAM say they will appeal a development contribution of €1.7 million towards the cost of two pedestrian bridges at the site.
