Cork Farmer Warns Protests Are Likely To Resume Outside Meat Processing Plants Unless Trust Is Restored
It follows claims that over 14,000 Cork farmers are at risk of being penalised by meat factories for overweight cattle
It's understood some processors are now applying penalities on 'heavy cattle' that weigh 420kg or above.
Meanwhile calls have been made for progress by The Beef Market Taskforce which cancelled its meetings last week after scuffles outside the Department of Agriculture.
