Cork Flood Relief Plans Do Not Guarantee Flood Insurance For Businesses Affected
Cork's flood relief plans will not guarantee businesses previously affected by flooding in the city will be able to get flood insurance.
That's according to the Save Cork City group who are meeting with City councillors this afternoon, to present an alternative for Flood Relief Leeside.
The €140 million euro project has been criticised by the group who say plans for raised quay walls and embankments will threaten the historic fabric of the city.
The Irish National Flood Forum have previously criticised the Save Cork City campaign saying the groups stance is unfair on flood hit business owners across the city.
Speaking to RedFM News Save Cork City campaigner Sean O Mhiri says their proposal will reduce the severe impact the works will have on the city:
