Cork homeless charity sees spike of people accessing its services

Cork Simon saw a record number of people accessing its services in the wake of Storm Emma.
The charity implemented it's Winter Strategic Plan during the stormy weather and says it will continue to do so for the forseable future until the weather improves.
Extra beds were provided at the charities Winter night shelter and houses across the city and the charity says they saw people accessing their services more than ever.
The public have also been praised by Cork Simon for their donations and alerting the charity of rough sleepers.
Speaking to RedFM News, Paul Sheehan of Cork Simon says everyone who needs a bed will get one.
