Protest Underway at Cork Institute of Technology
A protest is underway in CIT by workers of the canteen and campus shops
The Siptu memebers of CIT STUDENTS SERVICE CLG have mounted the action in a row over pay.
The union has been in negotaitions with the comapny however the 45 members engaged in the action say in my cases their pay doesn't reflect long-time service to the college and the company.
The pickets have been mounted at all entrances to the college and will continue until arond 9pm tonight.
Speaking to RedFM News SIPTU'S Bill Mulcahy says workers are frustrated and feel their wages are not acceptable:
