Cork LGBT community offers support following Orlando shooting

Members of the LGBT community in Cork are expressing their solidarity with their counterparts in the US, following the worst gun attack in US History.

50 people were killed and 53 injured at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida last night.

Organisations including  LINC, the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network, and BelongTo have offered condolences, saying they decry hate crimes against LGBT people anywhere in the world.

LINC has its office on White Street and will be open this afternoon for anyone who would like to call and have a chat.

Meanwhle the LGBT Helpline will be taking calls from the earlier time of 4 pm today.
