Cork man Stephen Teap, has indicated his satisfaction with the Scally report into the Cervical Check Scandal
Stephen, whose wife Irene died last year after receiving incorrect cervical cancer screening results, had a five and half hour briefing in Limerick yesterday with the author of the report Dr Gabriel Scally..
The meeting with victims was brought forward by 24 hours after aspects of the report were leaked to the media
Stephen Teap is expected to make further comment on the report today when it is published at 1pm
Meanwhile..
The Scally Review is expected to highlight "serious system flaws" in the screening programme - and recommend that it's overhauled.
According to the Irish Times, Dr Gabriel Scally - will also strongly criticise the failure to communicate new information to the women affected, when it's published later today.
Sinn Fein is demanding a full commission of inquiry into the controversy.
But their Health Spokesperson Louise O'Reilly says it's up to the Oireachtas to decide whether it's needed;
