Cork mother appeals to repeat runaways to consider families

Recent figures show that 60% of the 10,000 calls filed with gardaí are repeat runaways.
A Cork woman whose son went missing last year has appealed to repeat runaways who are regularly reported missing to think about the affect it has on family, friends and the relevant authorities.
Daniel Mulcahy's disappearance in February 2014 sparked a 28 day search before his body was found in the River Lee.
Her appeal comes after a search coordinator with Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery told RedFM that of the 10,000 missing persons cases filed with gardaí every year, 60% are repeat cases.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Claire Mulchay says as well as the heartbreak it causes family and friends, it puts a massive strain on resources.
