Cork mother contunies campaign for medicinal cannabis with peaceful protest planned at the Dáil

Vera Twomey is calling for the use of medicinal cannabis for her daughter Ava who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy
A Cork mother is to hold a peaceful demonstration outside the Dail at the end of this month renewing her call for a change in legislation to allow the use of medicinal cannabis.
Gino Kenny TD has organised the event for Vera Twomey who's 7 year old daughter Ava suffers from a rare form of epilepsy and has multiple seizures each day.
Vera recently mounted a nine-day protest march from Cork to the Dáil after her application for medicinal cannabis was rejected on the grounds that a paediatric neurologist hadn't signed off on it.
Vera held a meeting with the Health Minister where a number of options were outlined to her however she says after examining them all she still needs a change in the legislation.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Vera says she needs public support to bring about change.
