Cork Mother Says Government Need To Introduce Opt Out Law For Organ Donation

The Government must consider an "opt out" law for the future of organ donation in Ireland.

That's according to Cork Mum Michelle Fenton who's daughter Aimee-Louise received two life saving kidney transplants from a living donors in the past 15 years.

Around 24 countries across Europe currently operate an "opt out" law, meaning all people in the country could be potential donors on their death unless they join an official register to opt out.
