Cork mother speaks out on behalf of son with special needs

A Cork mother says there's no such thing as 'early intervention' for children with special needs in Ireland.
Elaine Healy's two children were diagnosed with autism and she says she was told of the importance of early intervention however she has been unable to avail of any these services.
She was one of the parents participating in this morning's "Enough is Enough" march to the HSE's Disability Services office in to Blackpool.
They presented frontline staff there with a petition signed by over 8,000 people.
The HSE has agreed to meet the groups following the march.
Speaking to RedFM News Elaine says she's had to take matters into her own hands as her child is still on a waiting list and needed help urgently:
