Cork Mum appeals for help for her critically ill anorexic daughter

Anorexia has robbed me of my beautiful, healthy daughter in the space of less than just 12 months. Those are the words of a mother whose teenage daughter is being medically stablised at Cork University Hospital where she is being tube fed as she has been refusing solid food for weeks.... Sharon Hegarty says she became aware of her eating disorder last Summer on a family holiday as she hardly ate for two weeks.. After taking her 17 year old daughter to her GP and weighing just 37 kilos, she was admitted to the acute ward at Cork University Hospital where she has been in and out of treatment for a number of months..
