Cork Penny Dinners Will Serve Over 200 Dinners On Christmas Day

Catriona Twomey of Cork Penny Dinners says it's not acceptable to have children living in a hotel room:

The co-ordinator of a Cork charity that helps those in Cork who are struggling throughout the year says her heart breaks for women who are stuck in hotel rooms. 

Cork Penny Dinners will serve over 200 dinners at its facility on Little Hanover St this Christmas Day, while its volunteers will also deliver meals to the homes of those in need also.

According to recent figures record numbers of people are living in emergency accommodation in Cork and the charity is calling on the Government to find an urgent solution in 2020.
