Cork Simon Community Says Ireland's Over Reliance On Private Rented Sector Needs To End

Ireland's over reliance on the private rented sector needs to end
That's according to Cork Simon Community who say the Rebuilding Ireland plan needs to be re-assessed due to record breaking homeless figures which show that more than 10,000 people, including almost 3,800 children are now living in emegrency accommodation.
The call comes as former Minister of State for Housing and Planning Jan O'Sullivan urges the government to admit that the home building policy has failed.
The number of adults in emergency accommodation in Cork has increased 30% to 401 in the last year, while the number of men, women and children in emergency accommodation in the South West has increased 24% to 800.
Speaking to RedFM News, Dermot Kavanagh from Cork Simon Community says radical action needs to be taken
