Cork Simon says housing the only solution to homeless crisis
The rise in the numbers sleeping rough in Cork is being attributed to the lack of suitable housing. Cork Simon's Annual Report for 2013 shows a 62% jump in the number of people sleeping on the streets in the city and that upward trend is continuing this year. A rise has also been reported in the number of families forced into homelessness.
