Cork Simon says the lack of affordable housing is at crisis point
2016 is on course to become the worst Cork has ever seen in terms of homelessness
Cork Simon says the lack of affordable housing in the city is at crisis point and unless the Government increases the housing supply immediately more people will be pushed into homelessness.
The warning comes as the organisation says 2016 is on course to become the worst Cork has ever seen in terms of homelessness.
Already this year 200 people have been reported sleeping rough Leeside and Cork Simon says if this trend continues, there will be up to 400 people sleeping rough by the end of the year.
Speaking to RedFM News Sophie Johnston from Cork Simon says there needs to be an immediate response from the Government.
