Cork stops to watch partial solar eclipse

  The clouds parted briefly to reveal a 93% eclipse at 9.30am It went dark and dusk-like at around 9.30 this morning, when the moon was covering most of the sun. Thousands of people turned out to watch the deepest eclipse in more than 15 years with a large crowd at Blackrock Castle Observatory this morning in an event organised by the Cork Astronomy Club.
