Cork Syndicate pick up cheque for €500,000 at National Lottery Headquarters
There was joyous scenes in the National Lottery winners' room today as 8 lifelong friends from Cork collected a cheque for €500,000.
The syndicate who wish to remain private purchased their winning normal play ticket at the Centra store in Guarranabraher in Cork City.
The group have been playing together for 8 years, were quick to dedicate their win to their syndicate leader, who made sure they paid their €10 each month.
The lucky eight are making plans to celebrate their win in style, by planning a once in a life-time holiday over the next few weeks.
Meanwhile another winner from the Northside of Cork picked up €30,000 today from a National lottery scratch card.
Marion Raymond from Farranree bought her ticket yesterday in the Gala Express store in Farranree.
