Cork TD Calls For Establishment Of A Not For Profit State-Run Construction Company 

Mick Barry's comments come as the Irish Times reports the board of the new National Children's Hospital have accused developers BAM of 'aggressiveness'

The board also raised concerns about a significant increase in financial claims by contractors. 

BAM are also involved in plans to construct the long-stalled Cork Events Centre and the relocation of the Port of Cork from Tivoli to Ringaskiddy. 

Work at the Dunkettle Interchange was also recently halted and could be delayed by over a year following a disagreement over costs between Sisk and Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
