Cork TD Criticises HSE's Commitment To Children and Adolescents
The Health Service Executive is failing vulnerable children and adolescents in Cork.
That's according to Cork TD Michael McGrath who is calling on Minister for Health Simon Harris, to fill two major posts at the Cork Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as a matter of urgency
The Unit is without a Permanent Consultant and Clinical Psychologist since 2016, and staff are struggling to meet demand.
Since then the waiting list has increased by 11%, and fears have been expressed that the extra waiting time is putting young service users at risk.
Speaking to RedFM News Fianna Fail Spokesperson Michael McGrath says the HSE needs to fill these positions immediately:
