A Cork TD says he intends to raise a question about the Events Centre in the Dáil.
It follows claims that the construction of the development has been delayed.
The City Council has moved to deny the claims and say that work on the €50 million facility is where it should be and all parties involved in the development are currently engaged in talks to finalise the financial model for the project.
However speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Fianna Fáil TD Billy Kelleher says while he isn't doubting anyone's commitment, he believes the sod turning event was premature and has resulted in concern about delays:
