Cork Votes 'No' In Plebiscite On The Directly Elected Mayor

It was a very narrow margin -Yes: 33,365 -No: 34,347

By a very narrow margin 'NO' won out with over 34,000 people voted against the proposal for a directly elected Mayor. 33,364 people voted YES.

It means Cork joins Waterford in saying NO while Limerick will press ahead with a directly elected Mayor.
