Cork woman hits out at the HSE as she describes what life is like on a transplant waiting list

41 year old Isabel Terry from Bishopstown is on a waiting list for 14 years for a double lung and heart transplant in Newscastle

It comes as the transplant she needs cannot be conducted in Ireland

She has to travel from Cork by road and ferry for an appointment in Newcastle next week in a journey which is expected to take up to 13 hours as she cannot travel on a commerical flight due to the amount of oxygen she has to carry with her.

Isabel was hopeful that the HSE would organise an air ambulance to transport her but so far that has not materialised.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Isabel says her health is deteriorating and she's described the lack of support from the HSE as "disgusting".
