A Cork woman has hit out at the women who were televised hugging the Health Minister after the results of the abortion referendum were announced at the weekend.
She says people have short memories and shouldn’t forget the ongoing CervicalCheck scandal which has claimed the lives of 18 people including two here in Cork.
Over 800 people are expected to attend a protest outside City Hall this evening in solidarity with those affected by the CervicalCheck scandal and it’s expected the Health Minister will once again be called on to step down.
One woman hailed Simon Harris as a hero in the wake of the repeal of the 8th amendment however Noreen Murphy who is attending the protest this evening told RedFM News that it’s inappropriate:
