Cork woman receives cancer treatment after sharing her plight on Cork's RedFM

32-year-old Ausra Matharu from Mogeely spoke on the Neil Prendeville Show this morning.

A young Cork woman who shared her plight about the delay in her cancer treatment on the Neil Prendeville Show says her fortunes have turned around since her radio interview this morning.

32 year old Ausra Matharu from Mogeely, who has bone marrow cancer had to stay in a hotel in Galway for the last three days after she was told there was no bed available for her at  Galway University Hospital, despite her scheduled appointment.

She outlined her frustration at the delays she's encountering and the impact on her family and just hours after the interview was aired the HSE stopped the bus she was travelling on back to Cork after they found a bed for her.
