Cork Youth Groups awarded grants to encourage young artists Leeside

Two Cork Youth groups have been awarded grants by the Arts Council.
Cork's Activate Youth Theatre and West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen were two of only 10 projects around the country to be awarded funds as part of the Artist and Youth Work Residency Scheme 2016.
It supports youth organisations to run arts projects with young people in their local communities.
The Blackpool group will use the funding to develop new ways of self expression through drama and script-writing workshops, while the Skibbereen group will provide a dedicated studio space to develop multidisciplinary issue based art.
