Cork's City Council To Introduce New Measures For Access To City Centre During Car Ban

They're focusing on a number of new incentives for shoppers and visitors in preparation for the restrictions
Cork's City Council is to introduce new measures to improve access to the city centre following plans for the reintroduction of the car ban.
They're focusing on a number of new incentives for shoppers and visitors in preparation for the restrictions on ordinary traffic passing through St Patrick's Street between the hours of three o'clock and half past six each evening.
The council will add a network of 26 free 15 minute set-down parking spaces to South Mall, Grand Parade, Parnell Place, Drawbridge & Cornmarket St to facilitate people wishing to shop and visit the city centre.
The car ban will come into effect tomorrow week, on the 9th of August.
