Cork's Housing Crisis Having A Serious Impact On The Tech Sectors' Ability To Scale Up In The Region

A conference in the city heard how there is 110% employment in the cyber security sector but the lack of housing is driving up cost and could lead to Cork firms losing their competitive edge.

The average cost of renting a property in Cork City last month stood at €1,366 a month but the lack of available properties to rent in the city is proving to be a major obstacle for firms in filling roles and attracting workers to Cork 

Speaking to RedFM News Ronan Murphy of cyber security firm SmartTech247 says the rental market has a very weak supply at a time of unprecedented demand
