Corporate tax rate battle set to unfold between Ireland and US in wake of Trump election

America is threatening to lure US multinationals away from Ireland under President Trump.

Donald Trump's senior economic advisor has warned they'll drop their corporate tax rate to compete with us.

Speaking in a BBC interview yesterday, Stephen Moore said they'd cut their headline tax rate for companies from 35 per cent to just 15 percent, to encourage them to locate in the States.

It's just one of a series of promises the new Trump administration is making in the wake of his election.

But Obama's former spokesperson, Michael Czin, thinks the controversial policies may get watered-down:
