Councillor Calls To Award Mandela With Freedom Of Cork City

A proposal made by a Cork City Councillor to award Nelson Mandela the freedom of Cork city is under consideration. The night before the 95-year-old passed away Sinn Féin Cllr Thomas Gould subittted a motion making the request to overturn the 1987 vote against conferring him with the honour. He is now hoping that the proposal will still go ahead Speaking to Cork's RedFM Cllr Gould says that it's a wrong that needs to be fixed:
