Counting To Resume In Clonakilty At 10am
Five seats on the County Council have been secured following counts in Bandon/Kinsale, Bantry/West Cork and Skibbereen/West Cork
It was a long night for Election staff as counting went on in West Cork until 2.30am
In The Bandon/Kinsale electoral area Fianna Fail's Gillian Coughlan and Independent Alan Coleman were both elected on the first count
There were jubilant scenes as Independent candidate and sitting councillor Danny Collins, became the first person elected in the Bantry electoral area
In the Skibereeen/West Cork ward Fianna Fail's Christopher O'Sullivan took a seat after the first count and his surplus helped to bring his running mate sitting councillor Joe Carroll home
Counting is to resume at Clonakilty Community Centre around now
