Courtmacsherry Lifeboat issue warning ahead of bank holiday weekend

Courtmacsherry RNLI have warned the public to be careful on the water this Bank Holiday weekend after two swimmers got into difficulty in West Cork yesterday.
Four people were swimming off Virgin Mary's Bank in Inchydoney Island when two of the group got into difficulty just after 2pm.
Courtmacsherry RNLI, the Irish Coast Guard Unit from Castlefreke and the Shannon based Rescue Helicopter 115 were dispatched to the scene.
The two swimmers were able to get ashore and were assessed by the rescue services.
