Cranberries star arrested at Shannon airport
Singer Dolores O'Riordan has been arrested after an alleged air rage incident on board an Aer Lingus flight bound for Shannon airport from New York. An air-hostess was assaulted on board the flight and when it landed a member of the gardaí who boarded the plane to investigate the incident was then also assaulted. The 43-year-old is currently in custody at Shannon Garda Station where she is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours. Meanwhile an air hostess has been taken to the Mid Western Hospital for treatment following the incident.
