Cork is a sea of red this weekend as red heads from across the world have travelled to take part in the annual red head convention.
The convention which is now in it's sixth year has grown in popularity since its inception and has provides a boost to the local economy.
One of the highlights of yesterdays festival was the crowning of the King and Queen of the redheads.
Alan Reidy from Blennerville Co. Kerry, whose afro made him a recognisable redheaded celebrity was crowned King, and Grainne Keena who was also a Fermoy Rose winner was crowned the Queen.
It's also an important event for the Irish Cancer Society which is the festival's charity partner and a focus is being placed on raising awarenesss about melanoma and skin cancer.
Speaking to RedFM News, Irish Redhead Convention Organiser Joleen Cronin says it's a great boost for the local economy:
