CUH experiencing severe overcrowding for second day in a row
Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded in the country for the second day in a row.
55 patients are currently receiving treatment on trolleys in the Emergency Department, according to the latest trolley watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
7 patients are awaiting admission in the Mercy University Hospital and todays figures show 399 patients are currently on trolleys across the country.
Speaking to RedFM News the INMO's Mary Rose Carroll says a chronic shortage of staff and low bed capacity is adding to the overcrowding crisis:
