Dáil holds minute's silence

The Dáil has held a minute's silence in solidarity with the victims of racism across the world.

The pause in proceedings was requested by Culture Minister Josepha Madigan and a Dáil debate on racism will be held next week.

It follows the death of George Floyd in the US and protests both there and at home.

Ceann Comhairle Sean O Fearghail led the TDs into a moment of silence at noon.
