Dame Judi Dench film hailed in Venice
Dame Judi Dench has brought both laughter and sadness to Venice with her performance in 'Philomena'. It's a true story of an Irish woman who searches for the son who was taken from her and sold by the nuns she lived with fifty years earlier. Steve Coogan plays journalist Martin Sixsmith who wrote the 2009 book. The showing at the Venice Film Festival brought prolonged applause.
