Day Of Disruption Ahead For Hospitals As 10,000 Health Support Staff Begin Strike
Patients face a day of disruption at hospitals across the City and County as 10,000 health support staff begin a nationwide strike from 8 o'clock this morning.
Cork University Hospital, Mallow General, the South Infirmary and the Mercy are all impacted by the 24 hour strike.
General Outpatient appointments are not affected, while patients whose appointments and procedures are cancelled will be issued with a further date as soon as possible.
