Demonstration in Cork in Solidarity with Greece

A demonstration is being held in Daunt Square this lunch time in solidarity with the Greek people who are preparing to vote in a referendum tomorrow.

They'll be asked whether to accept a proposal by the country's creditors for more austerity to keep aid flowing.

It comes after the country failed to pay back almost €1.6 billion to the IMF week which sparked fears they could crash out of the Eurozone.

The Greek Prime Minister's has repeated a call to his people to reject a bailout deal and  warned them they shouldn't be 'blackmailed' into accepting it.
