Direct Provision residents given direct contact with Ombudsman

Residents in Cork's Direct Provision Centre will be able to contact the Ombudsman directly with any complaints from Monday.
It follows a visit from the Ombudsman Peter Tyndall to the Kinsale Road facility earlier this week.
Residents there will be able to contact him directly if they have any concerns regarding the standard of accommodation, meals or any other service they receive while waiting for their asylum application to be processed.
The Evening Echo reports that the Ombudsman will be able to investigate any complaint, once the resident has raised the issue with management at the facility, and the Reception and Integration Agency.
