Director of the Sexual Violence Centre Cork speaks out against prostitution

It comes as Amnesty international voted to decriminalise prostitution.
The director of the Sexual Violence Centre Cork says she will withdraw her support for Amnesty International in protest at its vote to decriminalise prostitution.
Mary Crilly spoke out after the human rights organisation’s vote on its draft policy last week that supports full decriminalisation to protect the human rights
of sex workers
However, Mary Crilly says she has concerned about the amount of women in Cork who are victims of sex trafficking and says men, do not have the right to buy sex.
Speaking to RedFM News former prostitute Rachel Moran says the purchasers of sex need to be criminalised and legalising prostitution will only make mattters worse as seen in practice.
